aims to bring <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/research.soton.ac.uk\/ehs\/our-technology\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"1068\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">affordable and accessible healthcare technology <\/a><\/strong>to underserved people both in high and lower resource settings. To achieve this, we are keen to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/research.soton.ac.uk\/ehs\/media\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"1044\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">engage with a range of stakeholders<\/a><\/strong> including potential users, clinical practitioners, engineers, and business specialists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-8d4461d96d02a9cc5d58fe2716d0dfda wp-block-paragraph\">Our core focus has been on developing <a href=\"https:\/\/research.soton.ac.uk\/ehs\/our-technology\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"1068\"><strong>low-cost haptic hearing aids<\/strong><\/a>. These are sensory substitution devices that convert sound into vibration to support lip reading and sound perception for people with hearing loss.
